James J. Person

A founding partner of Synergy Financial Partners, Jim oversees the development of individually tailored personal and business financial strategies. Once created, these are augmented by regular oversight and ongoing adjustments of the plan. Jim attended Colgate University and the University of Colorado before beginning his career in financial planning. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designations, and is securities registered as a LPL Registered Principal. He has served as president of GAMA International, the premier organization of more than 6,000 individuals who manage financial planning firms around the world. In 1998, he co-founded Employee Benefit Solutions, Inc., a full-service employee benefits brokerage firm. With more than 37 years of both management and private client practice experience, Jim is a frequent speaker on individual financial, investment, and estate planning topics, having spoken in over 40 states and four foreign countries to audiences of over 3,000.
